At the designated time, we'll meet at Trapiche P3, the starting point of our Costa da Lagoa hike. Ready? Let's go!
Over 7 km (4.3 mi), we'll follow centuries-old trails while spotting the native plants and wildlife of the Atlantic Forest. Along the way, we'll stop at an old engenho de farinha, a traditional workshop where cassava was processed into flour back in the 18th century.
We'll continue on until we reach the ruins of an 18th-century manor house. Here, we'll tell you what Florianópolis was like during the colonial era and how it shaped the island's identity.
After our history lesson, we'll keep walking until we reach the Costa da Lagoa Waterfall. We'll stop here for about 30 minutes so you can jump in for a refreshing swim if you'd like.
Finally, we'll arrive at the charming village of Costa da Lagoa, famous for its 14 waterfront restaurants. Here, you can choose to stay and try the local food or head back to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after 4 hours in total.
Return by Boat
