Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at a central point in the city to begin this free tour of Valencia's old town. Along the way, we'll trace how the capital of the Turia has evolved through its most emblematic monuments.
We'll start by walking past the majestic facade of the Lonja de la Seda, a symbol of the great commercial and cultural splendour the city enjoyed in the 15th century. Just opposite, we'll stop at the Central Market, an architectural gem and a fine example of early 20th-century Valencian modernism.
Throughout the route, your guide will share stories, historical facts, and curiosities that bring the city's past and present to life. We'll pass the Palau de la Generalitat, today the seat of the Valencian regional government and a landmark of local political power, and take in the impressive Torres de Serranos, one of the best-preserved medieval gates that once protected the entrance to the city.
We'll also see the Valencia Cathedral, a unique building where Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles sit side by side. We'll pause at the foot of the famous Miguelete bell tower to hear some of its most fascinating stories and discover the cathedral's connection to the legend of the Holy Grail.
Between 2 and 2.5 hours later, the tour comes to an end in Valencia's historic centre.
